3 Learning Levels

Quiz-matched to your child

You want the best for your child.
But where do you even start?

📚

"I don't know what they should be learning at this age."

Every source says something different. Is my 3-year-old supposed to know letters? Should my 5-year-old be reading? The uncertainty is exhausting.

📝

"My child finds everything too easy — or gets frustrated."

Generic programs lump all 4-year-olds together. But your child isn't generic — they're ahead in some areas, still building in others, and need something that fits just right.

🎓

"I want to build habits, not force learning."

You want your child to love learning — not dread it. You're looking for a routine that feels joyful and natural, not stressful and mandatory.

That's exactly what KoKo & Co. was built for.

We meet your child at their exact level, build a confident daily learning routine, and make it something they actually look forward to — together.

Why Japanese Education?

What if school taught
your child everything?

Japanese schools don't just teach math and reading. Every child — regardless of ability — takes the same rich, whole-person curriculum. It's why Japanese classrooms consistently produce some of the most confident, capable, and well-rounded kids in the world.

Three pillars you won't find
in any American preschool program

Every KoKo box is designed around one belief: a truly prepared child is not just smart — they are kind, capable, and creative. These three pillars are what make our curriculum distinctly Japanese.

🌸

道徳 Doutoku
Moral Character Education

In Japan, doutoku is a dedicated class taught from age 6 — but we start even earlier. Through stories, discussion cards, and gentle reflection prompts, children explore what it means to be kind, honest, grateful, and brave. Not as rules to follow — as who they are.

L1 · Kindness & gratitude L2 · Empathy & fairness L3 · Responsibility & grit
🏡

Seikatsu Skills
Real Life Skills, From Day One

Japanese children are expected to fold their own clothes, clean their classroom, and serve lunch to classmates — starting in kindergarten. We bring that same pride in doing real things into your home. Not chores. Capability. The kind that builds quiet, lasting confidence.

L1 · Tidying, sorting, simple folding L2 · Cooking prep, table setting L3 · Laundry, cleaning, independence
✂️

Origami & Crafting
Fine Motor & Creative Intelligence

Origami isn't a fun add-on. It is precision, patience, spatial thinking, and pride in a finished creation — all in one piece of paper. Paired with scissors work and project-based crafting, this pillar builds the fine motor skills and creative confidence that academics alone never can.

L1 · Tearing, pasting, straight cuts L2 · Shape cutting, intermediate origami L3 · Complex origami, project builds

👩🏻
"I grew up experiencing Japan's whole-child education system — and it shaped who I am today, not just academically, but as a person. When I moved to the US, I couldn't find a program that honored that same philosophy of learning with purpose, joy, and values. So I built it. KoKo & Co. is the program I wish every child could have — one that sees them as a whole person, teaches them to love learning as a habit, and prepares them for life, not just school."

Questions? We've got answers 💬

Everything you need to know before getting started.

What age is KoKo & Co. designed for? +
Our program is designed for children ages 2½ to 6 years old. We have three learning levels so children can start wherever they are right now — not where we expect them to be. Our free placement quiz takes 2 minutes and tells you exactly which level fits your child best.
What is the difference between the Digital and Physical plans? +
The Digital Plan ($19/mo) gives you the full monthly curriculum as a PDF — you print what you need at home. It's perfect if you have a color printer and prefer flexibility. The Physical Plan ($49/mo) includes everything professionally printed and beautifully packaged, shipped directly to your door — ready to open and use. Both plans include the same curriculum content.
What is 道徳 Doutoku, and why does it matter? +
Doutoku (道徳) is Japan's dedicated moral character education — a core subject taught in every Japanese school. It guides children to explore kindness, honesty, empathy, gratitude, and responsibility through stories and reflection, not lectures. We believe academic skills and moral character grow together. A child who is kind and resilient will learn better, connect better, and live better.
Do I need any special supplies? +
For the Digital Plan you'll need a color printer, paper, crayons/colored pencils, glue sticks, and child-safe scissors. For the Physical Plan — nothing. Everything arrives ready to use. Origami paper, activity sheets, craft materials, and a parent guide are all included in the box each month.
How much time does it take each day? +
Sessions are designed to match children's natural attention spans: Level 1 — 5 to 10 minutes, Level 2 — 10 to 15 minutes, Level 3 — 15 to 20 minutes. You don't need a rigid schedule — many families do one activity in the morning and one craft or life skill in the afternoon. The curriculum is flexible and screen-free.
Why origami? Isn't that just arts & crafts? +
Origami is one of the most research-backed tools for early childhood development. It builds fine motor control, spatial reasoning, patience, sequencing, and the deep satisfaction of finishing something with your own hands. When children can follow multi-step instructions and produce something beautiful — that's not arts and crafts. That's cognitive training wrapped in joy.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes — no contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing hello@kokoandco.com. Your access or shipment continues through the end of the month you've already paid for.
When are materials shipped each month? +
Physical Plan boxes ship in the first week of each month. You'll receive a tracking email once your box is on its way. Digital subscribers receive their PDF bundle by the 1st of each month via email. If you subscribe mid-month, you'll receive a pro-rated starter kit within 3–5 business days.
What life skills will my child actually learn? +
Real ones. At Level 1: putting toys away, matching and folding socks, wiping the table. At Level 2: folding clothes, setting the dinner table, washing vegetables, sweeping. At Level 3: folding and putting away their own laundry, measuring ingredients, cleaning counters, and packing their school bag. Every skill is introduced as a proud moment — not a chore.
Is this program only for Japanese families? +
Not at all! KoKo & Co. is for any family who wants their child to grow up confident, kind, capable, and ready for school. The curriculum is inspired by Japanese education philosophy and is written entirely in English. You don't need to speak Japanese or have any connection to Japanese culture — just a love of raising a well-rounded child.
What comes in the first Physical Plan box? +
Your first Physical Plan box includes a Welcome Box with a personal note from our founder, your child's level placement summary, a full month of printed activity sheets, origami paper pack, craft materials kit, a parent guide with daily schedule suggestions, and a small surprise gift for your little one. Every month after, you'll receive the updated monthly curriculum bundle.
What if the quiz places my child at the wrong level? +
You know your child best. If you feel the level isn't the right fit after your first month, just email us at hello@kokoandco.com and we'll adjust your subscription to the right level at no extra cost. There's no wrong answer — the goal is always for your child to feel challenged, not frustrated.
